Cimini's Return to the White Mountains of New Hampshire

Hello everyone,

So I realize its been months since I've updated my little website here but I've been very busy and I have a very limited amount of free time on my hands. I've been working 2 jobs since early December and haven't had the time to dedicate to my website. I'll work on keeping it as updated as possible. Ok enough of that.

Our latest trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire took us to Santa's Village where Aidan really showed that he's probably going to be a thrill ride junkie. Aidan's favorite rides were the roller coaster and the log flume ride. The flume log had a pretty good drop and the excitement on Aidan's face was absolutely priceless. I even bought one of those photos you can buy at the end of the ride it was so cute.

The weather really wasn't all that bad. The forecast was for rain all throughout the weekend but there was really only a few short showers to deal with. The rain never became an issue because only a few short minutes later the sun would come out and dry everything up for us. On Sunday we went to Clarks Trading Post where we got to see a circus act. We had never been to Clarks for the circus acts before and it was pretty amazing. Aidan really enjoyed it too. Our trip on the train ride was especially fun this year as Aidan got to see the wolfman up close and he was even scared a little bit. Here are a few pictures from the vacation.

Pats Game on 11/13/08

Ron and Scott Cimini along with friend Tony C went to go see the New England Patriots take on the New York Jets on 11/13/08 for some Thursday night football. The seats were incredible and so was the game.

The Patriots were down 24-6 late in the 2nd quarter but managed to fight back. With 1 second remaining in regulation time, Randy Moss caught a touchdown pass which tied the game up at 31. Unfortunately the Jets won the coin toss and won the game with a field goal in overtime.

Here are some pics from the game. Be sure to check out the rest of the pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/aidancimini/.

Watch Aidan Dance it up

Taken at the Walk to Cure Diabetes in Fall 2008.

October in Connecticut is a very beautiful thing. The foliage is great and the temps are cool. Today we decided to hike up Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT. Aidan loved climbing the mountain and was especially excited to see the castle at the top. Check out the pictures from the hike.

Yankees Eliminated from playoff contention!!

Tragedy struck Major League Baseball as the New York Yankees bandwagon crashed late Tuesday night in Toronto, Canada, injuring 1,347 fair-weather Yankee fans.

Witnesses say the Yankees bandwagon began teetering uncontrollably as thousands of fans jumped off following the Yankees' 3-1 win in Toronto. With the Red Sox winning, it officially eliminated the Yankees from the playoffs.

"It was madness," said witness Jo Ann Emery. "As soon as it was known that Boston won, those people started streaming off the Yankee bandwagon like rats jumping off a sinking ship."
Luckily, the bandwagoners escaped with only minor injuries, landing on gigantic piles of discarded Yankee jerseys, hats, t-shirts, and other souvenirs.

Yankee bandwagoner Steve Frederton was one of the many injured in the crash. "I don't even know why I was on the bandwagon," said Frederton while applying an ice pack to his bruised ego. "I never really liked the Yankees, especially not now. What a bunch of losers." Frederton then went to a nearby store to purchase a Mets jersey.

Many loyal Yankee followers blamed the crash on upstart fans with no real ties to the team. "I'm an old-school Yankee fan -- I've been following the team since way back in '96," said Nick DiLucci while bandaging his scraped pride. "These new fans, they've got no sense of tradition. At the first sign of failure, they're out the door. With so many of them around, there was bound to be trouble."

MLB officials agreed that the disaster was inevitable. "That bandwagon was packed way too full to begin with," said MLB commissioner/mole-licker Bud Selig. "I've cautioned fans many times about overloading, but they just don't listen. I guess I'll have to eliminate two MLB franchises in order to teach them a lesson."

"I just hope Mr. Steinbrenner doesn't blame me for this," added Selig. "He hits me when he gets angry, you know."

George Steinbrenner was busy firing his players, coaches, staff, hot dog vendors, and wife and was unavailable for comment.

New Hampshire 9/5/08

Hello All,

We are back from another trip to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The weather held together pretty nicely for us. 90% of the rain fell at night so the days were mainly dry. We saw waterfalls, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. We made our usually trip to Clark's Trading Post for the fun train ride and Wolfman adventure as well. I even had the chance to go wall climbing at Loon Mountain which was really fun and challenging. I'd never done that before and was happy to have conquered the wall.

Please feel free to check out my photos from the trip by clicking here

All the best,

Scott

Monica and Scott Meet The Ghost Hunters

Monica and I are fans of the TV show "Ghost Hunters" that airs on the Sci Fi channel. To help promote their new book, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson had a book signing event at Barnes and Noble in Warwick RI on August 16, 2008. We got there about 90 minutes early and there was already a line around the building with hundreds of eager fans waiting for their opportunity to meet the ghost hunters. We met some really nice people and were thrilled to have met Jay and Grant. After the book signing, we had a nice dinner and visited the TAPS headquarters which is also located in Warwick, RI. Overall we had a great time. Here are some pictures from the event.

WEEN 7/25/08 McCarren Pool Brooklyn NY

What a show! The weather was perfect and the atmostphere was electric. Ween was getting ready for the last show of their grueling tour which spanned several countries and over a year of performances. The venue was the McCarren Pool in Brooklyn, NY.

The McCarren Pool used to be a pool but is now just concrete with a stage at the front of it. It will however be a pool again when the construction on it is completed at the end of 2008. This will be the last summer of concerts here sadly.

Now on to the show. There was a pretty good sized crowd here. Not sure if it sold out or not but it was packed. Here's the setlist.

Aidan Turns 3

Although Aidan doesn't officially turn three until July 31, his party was celebrated on July 19th. Aidan had a blast swimming in the pool and bouncing in his new castle moonbouncer. The weather was hot and humid like a typical July day in Connecticut. A special thanks to Cindy and Rich for letting us have the party at their house.
